NOMINEES OF “LEAVE NO CHILD OUT” CAMPAIGN AWARD ANNOUNCED
The presentation ceremony of the “Leave No Child Out” campaign award was held at the Muslim Magomayev State Philharmonic. The event was organized under the initiative of the Azerbaijan NGO Alliance for Children’s Rights together with the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Affairs and UNESCO.
The event focused on works done under “Leave No Child Out” campaign.
The speakers noted that the institutions and persons well-known for their activity on children’s rights protection are awarded within the campaign.
This year the Organization Committee also held a survey among the population on seven nominations.
According to the survey, the nomination “The State Organization of the Year” was won by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population for its activity on children’s rights protection.
The title “NGO Organization of the Year” went to “Mushfig” social unity, while “Azercell” Telecom was awarded as “The charitable company of the year”.
The nomination “Person of the year” was won by Khalida Bayramova, deputy governor of Sabail province.
The nomination “The International Organization of the Year” went to the International Humanitarian organization “World Vision International”, while newspaper “Olaylar” and Radio Liberty were honored with the nomination of “Press of the year” and “TV and Radio channel of the Year” respectively.
