OFFICIAL WELCOMING CEREMONY AT RESIDENCE OF ROMANIAN PRESIDENT

An official welcoming ceremony of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev paying his first official visit to Romania was held today at the residence of Romanian President - Cotroceni Palace, AzerTAj special correspondent reports from Bucharet.

In honor of the Azerbaijani leader, a Guard of Honor was lined up on the square before the Palace decorated with national flags of Romania and Azerbaijan.

President of Romania Ion Iliescu warmly welcomed President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Commander of the Guard of Honor reported to the Azerbaijani President. National anthems of Romania and Azerbaijan were performed.

The Heads of State passed along the Guard of Honor. President Ilham Aliyev greeted the Romanian soldiers.

Government officials of Romania were introduced to President of Azerbaijan, the members of the Azerbaijani delegation to President of Romania.
