OMAN SUPPORTS AZERBAIJAN IN ALL INT’L ORGANIZATIONS
As correspondent of AzerTAj informs, Chairman of Azerbaijan Parliament has congratulated the diplomat on appointment as the ambassador in our Republic. During conversation, it has been marked that the Sultanate of Oman was one of the first states which have recognized independence of Azerbaijan in 1992, and since between our countries diplomatic relations have been established.
Then, Murtuz Alaskarov has informed the diplomat on activity of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan. He has told about the international links of the parliament, stressing creation of groups of friendship with parliaments of the various countries, also emphasized that the similar group of friendship will be created and with the Parliament of Oman.
It has been marked that the delegation of parliament the Sultanate of Oman always supported in the Organization Islamic Conference the fair position of Azerbaijan in the question of settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorny Karabakh conflict.
During conversation, it was spoken also about the reasons of occurrence and the hard sequences of the Nagorny Karabakh conflict, the resolutions adopted by the United Nations, connected with the mentioned conflict. The leadership of Azerbaijan wishes to peacefully settle this problem, Mr. Alaskarov stressed.
The Ambassador stated: “From the moment of entering on the Azerbaijan land, I feel hospitality and brotherhood of your people. I do not feel that I am on a foreign land. We should develop the Oman -Azerbaijan cooperation, for this purpose, fine opportunities have been created.
The diplomat has informed on the Parliament of his country, its structure, and activity as well. He has declared, that Arabs perfectly know on such occupation. The Ambassador also has emphasized, that Oman would support Azerbaijan in all international organizations. During conversation, the Ambassador has told: “Baku is a nice city. It is available attributes of development. Here, grandiose civil works are conducted. Your city is pure, and your citizens - friendly people.
