OMBUDSMAN OF AZERBAIJAN MET DIRECTOR OF US NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DEMOCRACY
As was informed to AzerTAj from the Ombudsman Office, Ms. Suleymanova spoke of activity on protection and restoration of human rights carried out in conditions of close cooperation with corresponding state structures, parliament of the country, the municipalities being institutions of local government, and also with NGOs. The guests also were presented information on the measures undertaken in the direction of maintenance of the rights of children.
Christie Kuark informed that the Organization represented by her carries out educational courses for political parties and prepares programs of educational character connected to elections in Milli Majlis. Having noted, that advantage has been given to organizing courses in the majority of regions, the visitor informed, that they and in Baku will discuss questions of elections with participation of representatives of the state structures, NGOs and political parties.
Ms. E. Suleymanova has emphasized that the National Institute of Democracy and Institute of Ombudsman serve protection of human rights and necessity of effective cooperation between these two structures, has suggested defining further business ties.
