OSCE CHAIRMAN-IN-OFFICE INAUGURATES NEW PREMISES OF OSCE BAKU OFFICE
OSCE chairman-in-office, Finnish Foreign Minister Ilkka Kanerva attended the inauguration of the new premises of the OSCE Baku office on Thursday.
Kanerva said, during eight years in Azerbaijan, OSCE Baku office has played a great role in promoting democracy in the country. He expressed hope that the new office would become a good place for meetings.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov said OSCE chairman-in-office’s South Caucasus tour came amid important events taking place in the region.
Azimov noted Azerbaijan expects success during Finland`s OSCE chairmanship and, that Kanerva`s visit would be beneficial. Azerbaijan hopes for more serious efforts to find a peaceful solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Azerbaijan remembers Finland`s OSCE Minsk Group chairmanship and hopes that Finland`s OSCE chairmanship will bring successful results.
