The sitting discussed the bills “On Legal Protection of Databases” and “On Prevention of Minors Offences”.
The information on the first bill was provided by Chairman of the Standing Commission for Science and Education Shahlar Asgarov, who noted that a lot of opinions and proposals advanced during the second reading in the Parliament, had been taken into account: article 4 of the draft law has been supplemented with items 4.5 and 4.5.1, which imply to bring into conformity collection of data, copyrighted collection of data operating rules, and other principles.
Chairman of the Standing Commission for Legal Policy and Statebuilding Ali Huseynov updated the sitting participants on the draft law “On Prevention of Minors Offences”. He pointed out that although until recently, the minors problems had been regulated by the Regulation “On Minors Affairs and Protection of Rights”. A number of the clauses of the Regulation, however, cannot be used until the presented bill is not passed, he said.
Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, the Commissions Chairmen, Deputies, as well as Chairman of the Republican Copyright Agency Kamran Imanov and other invitees expressed their opinions and advanced proposals on the above-mentioned documents.
In conclusion, it was recommended to submit both bills to the Parliament for discussion.
