Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament said that Azerbaijan is the member of the OSCE since 1992 and closely cooperates with the Organization. The legal and economic reforms being conducted in the Republic, integration of country to Europe are highly assessed by the OSCE and other international structures. There are problems, mainly the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorny Karabakh conflict that seriously impedes the Country’s development. Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament spoke of the reasons and sequences of the conflict, noting that Nagorny Karabakh has become den of the terrorists and uncontrolled zone, of the Armenian centuries old territorial claims to Azerbaijan and monstrous commitments the Armenians terrorists did in Azerbaijan.
Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament said that OSCE and other international organizations regard the aggressor and the victim similarly. This rather complicates solution of the question. Sharp measures should be taken against the aggressor. Azerbaijan adheres resolution of the problem in the frame of international law and in peace way. If the negotiations will not result positively, Azerbaijan will in any way liberate the occupied territories. Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity should be guaranteed. The question of status of the Armenian may be discussed after that. OSCE and other international organizations should make a resolute decision.
Expressing gratitude for warm reception, Philip Dimitrov said that the reforms being conducted in Azerbaijan and integration to Europe is duly assessed by OSCE. Management of the Organization is deeply concerned with delay of solution of the problem. Acting Chairman of the Organization considers that the conflicts should be settled only in peace way. Sequences of war are aware to everybody. We hope that restoration of negation process will bring positive results.
