Polykova wins women's 1m springboard

Maria Polykova of Russia won gold in the women's 1m springboard diving event at the Baku 2015 European Games on Friday night.
After her victory at the Baku Aquatics Centre, she said: "I have already won the European championships (the 3m synchro at Poznan 2013) but I think this is even better for me. "It's a more important victory because it's my first major European win at senior level."
Germany's Louisa Stawczynski took silver while Diana Shelestyuk of Ukraine won bronze.
