PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV INSPECTS CONSTRUCTION WORK AT INTERNATIONAL MUGHAM CENTER
Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev inspected Thursday construction work at the International Mugham Center. The President was joined by first lady Mehriban Aliyeva, UNESCO Director General Koichiro Matsuura, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors Princess Firyal of Jordan and ex-President of Iceland Vigdis Finnbogadottir.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed the center`s hall and rooms.
The construction of the Mugham center was initiated by President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, and is being carried out with the support from UNESCO.
The International Mugham Center`s foundation stone was laid in August 2005 by President Ilham Aliyev, first lady Mehriban Aliyeva and UNESCO Director General Koichiro Matsuura.
