PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVED AMBASSADOR OF GERMANY TO AZERBAIJAN
Greeting the Ambassador and his spouse, Head of Azerbaijan State said that Mr. Klaus had made his contributions to the development of the Azerbaijan-Germany relations during the period of his activity in the country.
Noting that last years the relations between the two countries have constantly developed, President Ilham Aliyev expressed pleasure with his latest official visit to FRG and its successful results.
Head of the Azerbaijan State gave high assessment to activity of the spouse of the German ambassador in the field of healthcare of children in Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev wished to Klaus Grewlich success in his future diplomatic activity.
Expressing gratitude for cordial reception, the Ambassador said that he with great pleasure remembers presentation of his credentials to the national leader of Azerbaijan President Heydar Aliyev, emphasizing that Heydar Aliyev’s policy is a diplomatic school for him. He called Heydar Aliyev’s balanced policy the summit of foreign policy. Heydar Aliyev’s merits before the people of Azerbaijan are similar the merits of Bismarck before the German nation, the Ambassador said.
The German diplomat stated that Ilham Aliyev who won the democratic presidential elections is the worthy successor of Heydar Aliyev’s policy. After Ilham Aliyev was elected President of Azerbaijan republic, the Country has gained great accomplishments in the socio-economic development, in opening of new working places, Mr. Grewlish underlined. This socio-economic development is followed by successes in the human rights protection field.
Mr. Klaus Grewlish highly appreciated activity of the Azerbaijan President as a head of the Azerbaijan delegation at PACE.
The Ambassador expressed hope that the Azerbaijan-German relations would develop and expand in the years coming.
