PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVES US DEPARTMENT OF STATE UNDER SECRETARY
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan today at the President Palace received the delegation led by US Department of State Under Secretary for Economic, Energy and Agricultural Affairs Rueben Jeffery. Head of the Azerbaijan State said the visit of the US Department of State Under Secretary would promote development of bilateral relations between the two countries, and set opportunities to discuss current state in economic cooperation, its prospects, and regional questions. President Aliyev expressed confidence for further expansion of cooperation in economic field.
Mr. Rueben Jeffery said the goal of visit is to meet with the people representing numerous fields of economy of the country, relevant departments and discuss mutually interesting issues. He stressed importance of the current visit, expressing hope for all-round cooperation in the years ahead.
In meeting, also exchanged were views on development of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in the fields of economy, energy and agriculture.
