PRESIDENT OF HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION MEHRIBAN ALIYEVA VISITS ORPHANAGES IN BAKU
President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, first lady, MP Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Arzu visited today several orphanages in Baku.
Mehriban Aliyeva first arrived at the orphanage №3 in Khatai district. In the foyer, she viewed photos reflecting nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev`s and her own visits to the orphanage which is home to about 100 children.
The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation viewed the orphanage`s rooms. After that, children sang Azerbaijan`s anthem and recited poems for the first lady. Mehriban Aliyeva had her photo taken together with the children.
Afterwards, she visited the orphanage №2 in Yeni Gunashli settlement in Surakhani district. It was completely reconstructed under the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s “Orphanages and boarding schools development program”. Principal Sevda Hajiyeva informed the first lady that the orphanage is home to 140 children. Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized herself with computer room, library and dance room.
Afterwards, the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation visited a psycho-neurological orphanage in Narimanov district.
There are 70 children in the orphanage who are looked after by 5 doctors and 11 school nurses.
Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the orphanage’s rooms to get familiar with the children`s conditions.
She said the orphanage will be reconstructed and a new building for it will be built soon.
