PRESIDENT OF SWISS CONFEDERATION PASCAL COUCHEPIN OFFICIALLY WELCOMED TO AZERBAIJAN
President of the Swiss Confederation Pascal Couchepin was given an official welcome to Azerbaijan on Monday.
The Swiss leader and his spouse Brigitte Couchepin were welcomed by President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
The two leaders inspected a ceremonial guard of honor as a military orchestra played the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Switzerland.
Afterwards, members of the Swiss delegation were introduced to President Ilham Aliyev, while Azerbaijani officials to Pascal Couchepin.
The two leaders then had their photo taken together.
