PRESIDENTS ILHAM ALIYEV AND TARJA HALONEN MEET IN PRESENCE OF DELEGATIONS
Following their one-on-one meeting in Finland, Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Tarja Halonen of Finland continued their talk in the presence of the two countries` delegations.
The meeting mostly focused on prospects for bilateral relations, in particular in political and economic spheres.
President Ilham Aliyev spoke of ongoing development processes in his country.
He also touched upon Azerbaijan`s Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Armenia, which, he said, resulted in one million Azerbaijanis` becoming refugees and IDPs.
Tarja Halonen said there is a huge potential to enhance the Finland-Azerbaijan relations.
The Finnish leader recalled her visit to Baku, describing it as a success.
Tarja Halonen expressed confidence the Azerbaijani leader’s current trip will give the impetus to enhance the bilateral relations.
