PRESIDENTS OF AZERBAIJAN AND FINLAND GIVE JOINT PRESS CONFERENCE
Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Tarja Halonen of Finland gave a joint press conference on Thursday. The Finnish President said the talks between the two countries` delegations mostly focused on deepening bilateral relations, in particular increasing trade, as well as environmental issues.
Tarja Halonen invited Azerbaijani businessmen to visit Finland.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the level of bilateral relations between the two countries, and stressed the importance of enhancing economic cooperation.
The Azerbaijani leader also touched upon huge projects underway in his country.
On Azerbaijan`s conflict with Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh, President Ilham Aliyev said Armenia occupied twenty percent of his country`s territory forcing one million Azerbaijanis to flee their homes.
Afterwards, the Presidents responded to questions from journalists.
