REGIONAL BUSINESS - FORUM HELD IN LANKARAN
At the Forum, there were heads of executive powers of the Astara, Lankaran, Masalli, Jalilabad, Lerik and Yardimli districts, representatives of the Association of Businessmen of Turkey, the Society of Technical Cooperation of Germany, the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Iran, the Azerbaijan -Russian Business Chamber, businessmen of the southern regions, foreign investors and representatives of the authorized banks carrying out activity in the Country.
The basic purpose of this action consists in discussion of opportunities of investing in economic region of Lankaran, more rational use of economic potential of southern region, creation of conditions for establishment of wide cooperation between businessmen and achievement of preferential financing of investment projects of businessmen.
Minister of economic development Farhad Aliyev in his remarks at the Forum has told about the measures which are carried out in the field of the further development of economy of our country, performance of the "State Program of social and economic development of regions of the Azerbaijan Republic”, increase of the state care of businessmen.
Having stopped on execution of the measures stipulated by the State Program on economic region of Lankaran, the Minister dwelt on opening in the region of more than 9300 workplaces, of which 5000 are permanent workplaces.
At the Forum, also were speaking representative of the Ministry of economic development, the president of Association of Banks Zakir Nuryiev, the head of the executive power of Lankaran Zeynal Nagdaliyev and others.
Businessmen from Germany, Turkey and Iran have expressed on this action the interest to concrete branches of economy of the region.
Participants of the Forum have in details familiarized with production and the services submitted at the exhibition carried out within the framework of the Business-Forum of production of the local industrial enterprises.
Credit fair has taken place in second half of day in Lankaran Olympic Sports Complex.
At the credit fair, it was decided to grant to businessmen on the Lankaran economic region at amount about 10 billion manats.
Due to use of the allocated credits, more than 1000 citizens in southern region will be provided with new workplaces.
