REPRESENTATIVE OF AZERBAIJAN JOIN RAINBOW BRIDGE IN KIRGHIZSTAN

Representative of Azerbaijan participated in the international project “Rainbow Bridge for International School of Tolerance” which held in Kirghizstan. 16-18-year-old people from the countries, which had gone or are going through military conflicts and some other states, were involved in the project aimed at forming tolerance, consensus, cooperation and peace between young people of different nations and cultures.

Inspirer and organizer of the project is first lady of Poland Mrs. Jolanta Kwasniewski. It was the country that hosted the first “Rainbow Bridge” in summer 2001. During the special session of the United Nations General Assembly Mrs. Kwasniewski addressed the first ladies of different countries to continue this undertaking by organizing similar schools of tolerance.

The participants of this one were living on Isyk-Kul lakeside in yurtas, the Kirghiz traditional habitation. First ladies Jolanta Kwasniewski of Poland and Mayram Akayeva of Kirghizstan also spent a few days in the camp.
