Saint Petersburg Governor visits Baku Cathedral Church

As part of his official visit to Azerbaijan, Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov has today visited the Russian Orthodox Holy Myrrhbearers Cathedral in Baku.
Secretary of the Baku and Azerbaijan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Dionysi Svechnikov highlighted the history and holy symbols of the main church of the diocese. He also informed the guests about the repair and restoration work carried out here with the support of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Alexander Beglov viewed the exhibition of the Diocese museum and the library of the Religious and Cultural Center of the Baku Diocese.
The governor of Saint Petersburg donated several icons to the Cathedral Church.
Members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Saint Petersburg presented a copy of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God.
