Saudi Arabia hosts meeting on Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis
Baku, December 31 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Saudi Arabia has hosted a meeting with the Media representatives on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries, as well as Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year.
The event has brought together Al-Jazeera newspaper editor-in-chief Khaled al-Malik, Editor of the Okaz newspaper in Riyadh Abdul Rahman Al-Shamran, Executive Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief at Arab News Abdul Hannan Tago.
Ambassador Rasim Rzayev touched upon the 20th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
He also provided information on development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia in the political, economic, humanitarian, cultural and other spheres over the last years.
The diplomat highlighted the projects held by the Embassy, as well as the importance of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.
The Media representatives were presented the publications on the country, particularly the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as “Baku” and “Azerbaijani carpets” journals, "The True Facts about Garabagh" produced by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, books on Khojaly massacre and CDs.
“Al-Jazeera”, “Okaz”, and “Arab News” newspapers had published various articles on Azerbaijan.
