SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE DEVOTED TO 75TH BIRTHDAY OF PROMINENT SCHOLAR
Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Ziya Buniyatov, Milli Majlis deputy chairman Govhar Bakhshaliyeva told of the scientific activity of Prof. Rustam Aliyev and noted that his eventful lifetime is an example for young researchers.
Then, participants heard the report “Rustam Aliyev’s heritage regarding Iran studies” of philological sciences candidate Mesiaga Mohammadi, report “Rustam Aliyev as arabist” of Imamverdi Hamidov and “Textual study of Rustam Aliyev” by Mohsun Nagisoylu.
Reporters recounted of R. Aliyev’s life and activity, his valuable scientific heritage, unique role in developing such spheres as source study and textual study.
Dean of the of faculty theology at the Baku State University, ANAS corresponding member Vasif Mammadaliyv, doctor Javad Hayat, director of Azerbaijani Literature Museum after Nizami, Milli Majlis deputy Nizami Jafarov noted that Rustam Aliyev had been a gifted scientist and known far beyond Azerbaijan.
