SPEAKER OF MILLI MAJLIS MEETS TURKMEN PRESIDENT
Speaker of the Milli Majlis (parliament of Azerbaijan) has today met with visiting President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedov.
Asadov stressed talks between the Heads of States and the documents signed created a good basis for deepening bilateral relationships.
Asadov said the role of parliaments in developing relationships is huge. According to him, the working group to cooperate with the Turkmen legislative body exists in the Milli Majlis.
Speaker also updated the Turkmen Leader on the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.
Turkmen President pointed out that this visit would give a new impetus to relationships between the two countries.
The Turkmen Leader told of the ongoing reforms and social changes in Turkmenistan.
First Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis Ziyafet Asgarov, Deputy Chairman Bahar Muradova, Turkmenistan`s ambassador in Azerbaijan Annamamed Mamedov and other officials were present at the meeting.
