SPEECH OF THE PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV
Dear ladies and gentlemen!
Dear friends!
I want to express to Mr. Chairman and all our friends who were taking part in the organization of this exhibition, deep gratitude in connection with carrying out in the museum of the French Senate of the exhibition of the Azerbaijan artists.
Carrying out of this exhibition once again testifies that traditionally friendly relations between France and Azerbaijan become stronger and develop and cover all spheres. Political links between our countries are at very high level. Besides, France and Azerbaijan effectively enough cooperate and in the field of economy. Joint projects are carried out, every year the trade turnover between our countries increases. All this testifies that our countries approach each other in all areas and perfectly cooperate.
Being in January of this year in France with official visit, we have met Mr. Chairman in the Senate, had wide enough exchange of opinions. We had and today a fruitful dialogue. We were once again convinced that the French-Azerbaijan relations becoming stronger and today extend, and we shall use the best efforts that our cooperation began even more fruitful in all areas.
We always felt and today we feel support of France in integration of Azerbaijan in the European structures.
Today, here, the small part of the Azerbaijan art school has been represented. It is very glad, that our cultural links develop also. Azerbaijan possesses the richest culture, and we very much would like, that the French spectators have familiarized with this culture that further of such exhibitions began more and that our people became closer each other. Carrying out of this exhibition will even more pull together our peoples.
Once again I congratulate all of you on the occasion of carrying out of this exhibition and I express the French Senate profound gratitude and gratitude for its organization. Thanks.

Then President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva, Chairman of the French Senate Christian Poncelet have familiarized with the exhibition, have listened to the Azerbaijan music.
At the exhibition, represented were more than 70 products of 20 Azerbaijan artists, including known masters of a brush – Tahir Salahov, Togrul Narimanbayov and others. Everyday, more than thousand people come to look the exposition, which is shown since August 28, products of our artists cause huge interest of spectators, and also critics.

After acquaintance with the exhibition on behalf of Chairman of the French Senate Christian Poncelet, a banquet has been arranged in honor of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
