STATE OIL ACADEMY EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL LINKS
Azerbaijan State Oil Academy /ASOA/ expands international links, Rector of Academy, Prof. Siyavush Garayev told AzerTAj reporter. We are teaching specialists and scientific personnel for foreign countries, maintain partnership relations with well-known scientific and educational institutions, participate in international educational programs, as well as cooperate with representatives of foreign countries in Baku and international companies, he said. According to Prof. Garayev, today, some 200 foreigners from Turkey, China, Syria, Pakistan, Vietnam, Egypt, Jordan, Iran, Georgia, Russia and Israel are studying at the Academy. Apart from that, we established cooperation with University of Georgia (Atlanta, USA) to where we have sent 6 young specialists for taking six-month course, Lukoil, whose president - ASOA alumnus - opened a center in here and pays scholarships to eight students to be further employed by the company, and finally BP is expected to open here a special well-equipped lab for successful students, he added.
