SWEDEN SEEKS CLOSER COOPERATION BETWEEN EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES AND EU
Sweden urged the European Union to deepen cooperation with Eastern European countries including Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia in order to step up reforms.
Sweden`s Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said the cooperation with these countries would help them to become EU members. According to him, Eastern European counties will achieve more economic stability, political and constitutional development.
The European Commission has already received the draft action plan. This proposals initiated by Sweden and Poland will be discussed at the meeting of foreign ministers to be held May 26 in Brussels.
