TBILGAS OWES RUSSIAN GASPROM $11 MILLION

Natural gas supplies have been cut off in some districts of the Georgian capital because of regular non-payments by Tbilgas to Russian Gazprom: at the moment, Tbilgas owes Gasprom $11 million, AzerTAj correspondent reports from Tbilisi. David Morchiladze, a Russian businessmen newly appointed as Chief of the Tbilgas said the interruptions in natural gas supply would go on unless the debt is paid. Because of former management’s incompetence, Tbilgas cannot repay its debts and awaits government’s support. D. Morchiladze stated on structural changes now being carried out in the company.
