UNESCO headquarters celebrates International Mother Language Day

A high-level event marking the International Mother Language Day was held at UNESCO headquarters.
Azerbaijan was also represented at the event, co-organized by the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to UNESCO and the UNESCO Education Sector.
The event featured a panel discussion on the theme "Language for Peace, Education and Sustainable Development." Speakers underscored the vital role of multilingualism in fostering global peace, ensuring inclusive, high-quality education, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Following the remarks, the event continued with a vibrant cultural program.
Representing Azerbaijan, talented singer Sona Iskandarli captivated the audience with her musical renditions, followed by graceful performance of Azerbaijani national dance.
