WORKING VISIT OF AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV TO FRANCE
During the meeting, President Ilham Aliyev and Speaker Christian Poncelet pointed out the good level of Azerbaijan-France relations including successful economic cooperation between the two countries. As an evidence of the yearly expanding humanitarian links they mentioned the exhibition of Azerbaijani painters arranged on 8 September at the Senate’s Museum.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the existing relations between the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan and the French Senate describing this cooperation as very prospective.
It was stressed as well that the Senate of France is taking every effort to establish links with the South Caucasian parliaments saying it was the French Senate that initiated the meeting between speakers of these countries’ parliaments.
President Ilham Aliyev and Speaker Christian Poncelet also exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
