World Bank supports economic reforms in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Anna Bjerde.
The minister noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to partnership with international financial institutions, including the World Bank. He hailed the Bank`s technical assistance and financial support. Jabbarov highlighted the measures taken to diversify Azerbaijan`s economy, develop the non-oil sector, promote investment and improve the business environment.
Anna Bjerde hailed the fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank. She said that the World Bank supports the economic reforms in Azerbaijan.
The sides also discussed the implementation of joint projects and new areas of cooperation.
