YAP organizes conference "Azerbaijan 2013: new targets, new victories"
Baku, December 24 (AZERTAC). The New Azerbaijan Party has organized a conference "Azerbaijan 2013: new targets, new victories" on Monday.
The event brought together state and government officials, MPs, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations. The conference saw presentations on the path passed by Azerbaijan during years of independence, outstanding tasks and new targets.
Opening the event, YAP Deputy Chairman, Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov said the 2012 year was successful for the people and state. He expressed confidence that the next year would be also successful given the expansion of the economy, implementation of infrastructure projects, and development of regions.
Ahmadov pointed out that the society and YAP see Ilham Aliyev as the only candidate for the presidential elections in 2013. He expressed assurance that YAP`s candidate Ilham Aliyev would gain another great victory.
He also congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on his birthday.
Speaking at the event, First Deputy Premier of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov provided information about socio-economic reforms implemented in the country under leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Eyyubov pointed out that independent Azerbaijan had gained great prestige by achieving huge successes thanks to the efforts of President Ilham Aliyev.
According to him, reforms conducted in the country resulted in minimum state`s interference in economy, favorable opportunities for the private sector, free competition climate.
He underlined these successes were achieved due to the Heydar Aliyev`s development strategy-based forward-looking and deliberate policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev. Great qualitative changes have occurred in all spheres during 20 years with Azerbaijan completing the transition period.
Eyyubov added that people of Azerbaijan associate the future of the country with Ilham Aliyev and that there is no alternative to President Ilham Aliyev in the political arena.
First Deputy Speaker Ziyafet Asgarov analyzed successes of economic, political, cultural,, humanitarian policy under leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that powerful and rich Azerbaijan, economic progress and modernization, democratic development, fair society are fundamental principles of President Ilham Aliyev`s activity.
According to him, Azerbaijan built relations with almost all countries and international organizations on the basis of respect principle. He added President Ilham Aliyev-led foreign policy ensures national interests and independent position of Azerbaijan.Chairman of the Milli Majlis committee for science and education, rector of the University of Economics Shamsaddin Hajiyev provided insight into the future targets for the country.
The rector pointed out that the aim of the policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev is to make Azerbaijan as one of the high-income countries. Scientific and political forecasts were prepared to this end.
Hajiyev noted 80 billion out of 120 billion investments were spent during President Ilham Aliyev`s tenure. It is, according to him, one of the factors proving that Azerbaijan is a worthy and reliable partner.
