Baku, August 4, AZERTAC
The third “YAŞAT” summer school, organized by the “YAŞAT” Fund and supported by NEQSOL Holding, Norm OJSC, Bakcell, and Azerbaijan Airlines, has concluded in London, United Kingdom.
The initiative aimed to broaden the worldview and language skills of the children of Azerbaijani martyrs, promote cultural exchange, and foster new friendships. Participants were selected from among the top-performing students in Azerbaijan’s 9th-grade final exams.
Held as part of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” the program featured daily English lessons and cultural activities across London. Participants visited iconic landmarks such as Trafalgar Square, the British Museum, Chinatown, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, and Greenwich.
The children also paid a visit to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United Kingdom.
During the visit, they met with embassy staff and gained insight into the daily operations of the diplomatic mission, as well as the responsibilities of Azerbaijani diplomats abroad. The students engaged in discussions, asked questions, shared their impressions, and exchanged ideas with embassy personnel.
As part of the program, the participants also traveled to Cambridge, where they visited King’s College - one of the key colleges of the University of Cambridge.
