Baku, June 21 (AZERTAC). The second international exhibition “From Waste to Art” has ended in Baku.

The exhibition was held at “Qala” State History and Ethnography Preserve initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Tens of artists from around the world, including France, Italy, United Kingdom, USA, Japan, Benin, Albania, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Israel, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Russia, demonstrated their works of art at the exhibition, which provided an opportunity to watch live the process of transforming waste into a ready peace of art. In general 24 artists, including 8 from Azerbaijan, were working on their pieces of art right at the exhibition site.

The primary objective of the exhibition was to divert people from squandering and make them think once more before throwing out old items they possess to waste bins. The participants made interesting pieces of art using very basic and useless materials - metal, paper, plastic mass, rubber product and various domestic wastes.
