ALBUM “FIRST BAKU INTERNATIONAL CARICATURE CONTEST” ISSUED
About 300 works by 70 authors from 26 countries were presented at the contest.
Winner were Yaroslav Yarovskiy /Poland/, Vladimir Kazanevskiy /Ukraine/, Alexey Talimonov /Great Britain/. 12 people including two Azerbaijanis Khafiz Nasiroglu and Yashar Samedov got incentive prizes. The jury decided to select 82 works to be included in the album, which will be given to every participant of the contest. The works are understood to be displayed at the exhibition hall named after Vajia Samadova of the Painter’s Union of Azerbaijan as well as the exhibition to be held during Olympic games in Athens within the frameworks of the Days of Azerbaijan.
