Ankara hosts International Family and Social Policies Summit
Ankara, January 4 (AZERTAC). The International Family and Social Policies Summit has been held in Ankara, Turkey with the participation of 23 countries.
Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Aynur Sofiyeva.
Speaking at the Summit, Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan placed emphasis on having a strong family for a strong nation. Erdogan said that his government acted with determination to get down to the core of all kinds of problems which may threaten a family and mobilized all its mean to resolve whatever the problem may be and noted that very important measures had been implemented in the past years for financial problems not to be a burden on the families and social benefits had been increased sixteen fold during that period by his governments.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that what Turkey needs is a young and dynamic population and attaining that goal is also a key to having a successful economy, adding that there is labor, capital, consumption, production and investment where there is man and none of those can be available if there is no man. Erdogan also said that Turkey is at an advantage at the moment owing to its young population but the fact is that the Turkish nation is also ageing slowly.
