Ottawa, 13 March (AZERTAC). The annual meeting of the Canada-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group took place on March 12 at the Parliament of Canada, press service of the Azerbaijan Embassy to Canada told AZERTAC.

At the meeting, Liberal MP Yasmin Ratansi was re-elected to another term as Head of the Group. During the meeting members of the Azerbaijani and Canadian Parliaments have discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Canada and regional matters. Farid Shafiyev, Counselor & Charge d`Affaires of the Azerbaijan Embassy to Canada has laid out the Azerbaijan foreign policy priorities and dwelled on the Azerbaijani-Canadian relationship.

The meeting was attended by representatives of different ethnic groups in Canada, including activists of the Azerbaijani Diaspora.
