Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan strengthen bilateral cultural cooperation

Gunay Afandiyeva, Member of the Milli Majlis, Deputy Chair of the Committee on Culture, and recipient of the Cultural Workers of Uzbekistan title, visited Tashkent along with Sahib Pashazade, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan and Director of the International Mugham Center.
During the visit, they attended a gala concert as honorary guests, celebrating the 585th anniversary of the great Uzbek figures Alisher Navoi and the 543rd anniversary of Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur.
In a meeting with Bakhodir Akhmedov, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan’s cultural ambassadors discussed the current state and future prospects of cultural relations. They expressed appreciation for Uzbekistan’s support in the restoration and reconstruction efforts in Garabagh.
