Baku, May 22 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan Central Bank Elman Rustamov met Friday with Head of Swiss National Bank Jean-Pierre Roth and his accompanying delegation.

The talks focused on the global financial crisis and its impact on the world economy, preventive measures taken in Azerbaijan to fight the crisis and the role of the Central Bank in ensuring financial stability in the country.

Jean-Pierre Roth praised the ongoing economic reforms in Azerbaijan, the Central Bank`s policy and measures taken to fight the global financial crisis.

They also exchanged views on prospects for cooperation between the Central Bank and Swiss National Bank.
