AZERBAIJAN MINISTER OF TAXES MEETS NEW BELGIAN ENVOY
Azerbaijan`s Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov met Tuesday with newly-appointed Ambassador of Belgium Frank Girkens.
Mammadov said opening of Belgium`s embassy in Baku will boost relations between the two countries.
He noted Azerbaijan places particular emphasis on development of relations with Belgium, which he described as one of the important countries in Europe.
On Azerbaijan-European Union cooperation, Fazil Mammadov said it is going very successfully, especially in terms of energy security.
The Azeri Minister informed the Belgian envoy about political and economic reforms conducted in his country.
Ambassador Frank Girkens called Azerbaijan a center of the Caucasus.
He said he will make every effort to help push Belgium-Azerbaijan relations to a much higher level.
