AZERBAIJAN, NORWAY: CULTURAL LINKS EXPANDING
In the frame of visit, Mr. Polad Bulbuloglu met the minister of culture of Norway Ms. Valgerd Svarstad Haugland, first deputy foreign minister, state secretary Kim Traavik and chairman of the Council of Culture of Norway. In the course of negotiations, discussed were questions of current development and prospects of cultural cooperation between the two states. The parties exchanged views on arrangement of mutual concert tours, joint festivals, exhibitions and other actions reflecting the national cultures of the two nations.
As known, the Norwegian choir has toured Azerbaijan and given concerts. And last year the Norwegian humanitarian association rendered financial assistance for restoration of the ancient Alban temple in the Sheki district of the Republic.
Minister of culture of Azerbaijan also visited the “Riksconserten” Institute and Ibsen Museum in Oslo, after which attended the opening ceremony of International Festival in the city of Bergen.
The visit of minister of culture of Azerbaijan is underway.
