Bern, March 9 (AZERTAC). The delegation of Azerbaijan led by deputy speaker of the Milli Majlis Bahar Muradova visited Switzerland on March 2-5.

During the visit, the delegation met with Alain Berset, president of the Council of States (upper house of Swiss parliament).

On March 3, Azerbaijani delegation was invited to the canton of Aargau where they met with head of local government Peter Beyeler to discuss issues of mutual interest.

Later in the evening, Azerbaijani embassy in Switzerland hosted an official event in the Bellevue Palace hotel in Bern. The event was addressed by head of the Azerbaijan-Switzerland friendship group in the Swiss parliament, member of the Council of States Mrs. Cristine Egerszegi-Obrist and Deputy Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament, head of the Azerbaijan-Switzerland friendship group Bahar Muradova, Azerbaijani ambassador Elchin Amirbeyov.
