AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV RECEIVES CREDENTIALS FROM NEWLY-APPOINTED CHINESE AMBASSADOR
Baku, 2 April (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev today has received the credentials from newly-appointed Ambassador of the People`s Republic of China Zhang Yannan.
The Head of State said the Azerbaijani-Chinese relationship is successfully developing, pointing out there are good opportunities to further boost the bilateral cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian fields.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the overall development of China, saying he had eye-witnessed it during the Beijing Olympics last year.
The Azerbaijani leader expressed confidence the bilateral relations will further be expanded during the new Ambassador`s tenure.
Ambassador Zhang Yannan conveyed greetings of Chinese President Hu Jintao to President Ilham Aliyev. According to the Ambassador, the Chinese President said a 2005 state visit by President Ilham Aliyev to China was what pushed the bilateral relations into a new stage of development.
Zhang Yannan vowed to spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening and developing the Azerbaijan-China relations.
