Baku, May 9 (AZERTAC). Chief of State Migration Service of Azerbaijan Arzu Rahimov today met here with John Greenway, the Rapporteur of PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and Population.

The best way to learn problems and needs of refugees is to meet them, Mr. Greenway said.

He said that during the visit he met with refugees living in Baku and in some settlements, adding “we witnessed successes of Azerbaijan in the field of migration and this will be attracted in our report”.

Mr. Rahimov said that on March 19, 2007 Azerbaijan President signed an order for establishment of State Migration Service to balance and control migration processes and formalize migration policy of the country.

He noted that the State Migration Service created bilateral relations with several foreign countries to learn their experiences.
