Azerbaijan University of Languages hosts event on Japanese culture
Baku, June 18 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) has today hosted an event on the Japanese culture.
Addressing the event, head of the Japanese center at the University Yashar Ibrahimov spoke of the education of the Japanese language as part of the regional studies and international relations department of AUL, as well as activity of the newly established Japanese center.
He also stressed that two students of the AUL had been sent to Japan as part of two week and a year practice program.
Japanese ambassador to Azerbaijan Shusuke Watanabe expressed his gratitude for organization of events dedicated to the Japanese culture.
The event that featured an exhibition of examples of the Japanese culture also hosted demonstration of a video clip on the country`s history and traditions.
Azerbaijani students performed Japanese dances and songs.
The event was organized by the AUL`s Japanese center and Japanese embassy to Azerbaijan.
