Azerbaijani delegation partakes in ITC world conference

Baku, December 4 (AZERTAC). The 2012 World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT) commenced in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

A delegation led by deputy ICT minister of Azerbaijan Iltimas Mammadov takes part at the event.

The Conference to last till December 15 brings together about 2 thousand ICT representatives from 263 world countries.

The conference is said to reconsider the Regulations of the international telecommunications adopted in 1988 in Melbourne, Australia, and make amendments in it.

The conferees will discuss issues of application of broadband internet access, investments in this field, defining global internet governance model, common cyber-security rules, transparency in roaming services and others.
