AZERBAIJANI MUSICIANS RETURNED FROM INT’L FESTIVAL
On the initiative of Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture, the State Orchestra of folklore instruments (art director and conductor- professor Agaverdi Pashayev) represented Azerbaijan.
In his interview to AzerTAj correspondent, head of the delegation, composer, People’s Artist, professor Tofig Bakikhanov said: “Within 9 days of the festival, Azerbaijani musicians were greeted with cheered. It is pleasant that concerts in two parts consisting of the compositions of our eminent composers, U. Hajibayov, T. Guliyev, R. Hajiyev, F. Amirov, V. Adigezalov, T. Bakikhanov, G. Khanmammadov and G. Huseynli performed by Azerbaijani musicians were shot by Iranian TV and broadcasted in all cities of the country. Articles related to success of the Azerbaijani performers were published at the leading newspapers.
