Baku, October 22 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Saturday Iranian defense minister Ahmad Vahidi.

The Iranian minister delivered President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad`s greetings to the Azerbaijani leader.

He also handed over President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad`s letter to President Ilham Aliyev.

Successful development of bilateral relationship between Azerbaijan and Iran was stressed at the meeting. They also said reciprocal visits at various levels would further serve strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

President Aliyev asked the Iranian defense minister to pass on his greetings to President Ahmadinejad.
