AZERI JUSTICE MINISTER MEETS QATAR`S AMBASSADOR TO COUNTRY

Baku, May 22 (AZERTAC). Justice Minister of Azerbaijan Fikrat Mammadov met Friday with Qatar`s Ambassador to the country Sheikh Mubarak Bin Fahd Jasim Al Thani.

Fikrat Mammadov said Azerbaijan and Qatar had friendly and cooperative relations.

According to the Minister, reciprocal visits by the two countries` presidents contribute to boosting bilateral ties. Mammadov noted there were great prospects for legal cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador, in turn, praised the level of relationship between Azerbaijan and Qatar.

The diplomat said his country recognizes Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and backs its fair position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

He expressed hope the conflict would be settled peacefully thanks to President Ilham Aliyev`s strong will.

The Ambassador pointed out he was aware of positive results of legal reforms carried out in Azerbaijan. He also added Qatar was interested in developing legal cooperation with Azerbaijan.

The sides expressed assurance that Azerbaijan-Qatar relations would continue to develop.

The Ambassador also familiarized himself with Justice History Museum.
