AZERI PREMIER MEETS CHAIRMAN OF ADJARIAN GOVERNMENT
Baku, March 2 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Prime Minister Artur Rasizade met visiting Levan Varshalomidze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjaria.
Rasizade said Georgia was a strategic partner of Azerbaijan.
He underlined the importance of maintaining economic ties with Adjaria in terms of expanding Azerbaijan-Georgia bilateral relationship.
The Premier pointed out that Azerbaijan together with Georgia and other countries carries out international projects in a number of areas including energy and transport ones.
Levan Varshalomidze, in turn, said during the visit he held some meetings in ministries of Culture and Tourism and Transport, as well as Azerbaijan Airlines.
According to him, Azerbaijan is one of the largest foreign investors in Adjaria.
Varshalomidze also stressed the importance of launching direct flights between Baku and Batumi.
