BAKU HOSTS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “AZERBAIJAN IN EVERY SEASON”
International Conference “Azerbaijan in every season” organized by Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Azerbaijan Tourism Institute (ATI) and Austria`s IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences took place in the Europe hotel, in Baku, on Tuesday.
The event, which brought together the officials of the government, local and foreign specialists in the field of tourism, was focused on studying Azerbaijan`s tourism potential.
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Abulfaz Garayev underlined that development of tourism in Azerbaijan plays an important role in improving the socio-economic state of the population. One of the main tasks of tourism sector is to create the tourism zones and implement the long-term projects, said Mr. Garayev.
ATI rector Mr. Cafar Cafarov noted that the event is held on the eve of the 85th anniversary of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. Mr. Cafarov told of significance of the state program for tourism development for 2002-2005.
Head of IMC Krems Mr. Boyer noted that development of tourism gives impetus to prevent urbanization and open the job places. IMC head highly valued the tourism potential of Azerbaijan.
