CEC CHIEF MEETS HEAD OF CIS OBSERVATION MISSION

Baku, March 16 (AZERTAC). Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov has met here with head of the CIS observation mission Totasin Buzubayev and mission coordinator Yevgeny Sloboda.

Panahov noted CEC pays great attention to observation of elections and referendum. He thanked CIS observation mission for their efforts to monitor the upcoming referendum.

Mission chief noted 43 observers will observe the nationwide voting in various regions of Azerbaijan. Some of them have been here for ten days to observe the pre-referendum situation. Buzubayev asked CEC chief to provide information about the work the CEC has done to prepare for the referendum and present situation on the eve of referendum.

CEC chairman Panahov told of the actions to hold the referendum. He stated the CEC is ready to conduct the voting.
