Baku, March 17 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov met Tuesday with head of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly`s election observation mission, Deputy Chairperson of Russia`s Federation Council Svetlana Orlova.

The CEC chief told Orlova all polling stations across the country and beyond its borders are ready for the referendum. He said the nationwide voting will be observed by over 47,000 local and more than 170 foreign monitors. He also said all conditions were created for media representatives.

Orlova said this is her fourth visit to Azerbaijan in the capacity of an observer, adding the country “had been considerably improving its electoral experience”.
